For those who aren't aware, this is after Quake's father's death. ----------------------- --------------------------- " THIS HOUSE IS NOT THE SAME " Small, shaky steps. Small, shaky breaths. Everything was small. Everything was shaky. It was if the world was rotating at maximum speed, spinning her around and around, as if there was no end, no end to the madness..... Their voices. Their voices were so loud, yet it was as if they say nothing, licking at her pelt, nudging her to keep her alive. She remembered their mourning, their sorries, their awful awful sorries that made her want to run away, to stop the world from rotating. The last few days, they weren't the same. Not without her dada. Without her Buzzbug. She missed her dada. A lot. She didn't know him long, but it still hurt, as he grew her up as much as he could, nurtured her, supported her... She watched her older siblings, her chest heaving. They seemed devastated. They knew him longer. They had him as their father for longer. It made her feel guilty, shameful even, for missing her papa, when they had her papa longer. " WITHOUT YOU, OH, WITHOUT YOU " It was as if, as if the world had stopped. As if everything in the world had chosen to shut her down, to shut her *out*. She hated it. She hated being shut down, shut out, shut up.... She just /hated/ this feeling that swirled and stayed trapped inside of her, all because the world shut her out. The tears, well, they had stopped. She had cried until she couldn't, her cheek fur soaked, her eyes bloodshot, every ounce of her had been poured into the guilt she felt, for not being able to fix her father. She didn't know what she wanted anymore. She wanted to be a warrior, but, now she wanted to follow him. His legacy. His hopes, dreams, expenses.... She wanted to honor him. Would she fight for his vengeance, forever enraged with the stars above? Or would she heal those who were wounded, trying to fix something inside of her that she would never be able to fix? " THIS HOUSE IS NOT THE SAME " Why did everyone leave her? Her mama, her father, her twolegs... Now her papa? It just hurt, every time, like an arrow to the heart. " WITHOUT YOU " ----------------- Okay, so ! Short little "depression" era for Quakekit, and she's gonna become more rebellious, and just become a mess. She's going to try and hold it together, will she be able to manage? - may come out with trust issues, haven't decided yet, but I think she will.
