After what Nibu's done, nothing feels the same. It feels like he bit out someone's throat, and now nobody can breathe. Birch has insisted on giving Nibu fair treatment, but I can see the regret in his eyes. I can see the confusion, the shame, the grief. I can't let Birch do that to him, so I took over leading everyone for Taq for now, making sure Nibu stays in his den so he can't do anything. On that note, leading is a nightmare. Taq handled it so smoothly because he gradually built up the amount of cats he has to lead, but I've been thrown into it. I have to assure everyone that Taq will be okay and that he most definitely will wake up (mostly for Nibu's pelt sake), but I don't know if he will. I've never dealt with something like this before. Only time will tell. Edit: I think he will. I saw him flex his claws briefly when Sage said something. I have hope, but hope only gets you so far.
