EXP-003 - Codename: Scratcher's (REDACTED) Also known as "walkcat.avi" (CREATOR NOTE: took inspiration from mouse.avi for this one and mixed it up a bit) NOTICE: You may see we have changed our formatting to make it more smoother and easier to read for employees. Thanks, Council-03 ORIGINS The cognitohazardous file we call "walkcat.avi" or Scratcher's (REDACTED) originally surfaced as a rumor on the Scratch discussion forums in 2008 as a "cursed video" or "cursed project" (differs between story from story) that was made by a crazed serial killer to show his latest victims, which were 3 women/males/a mix of both genders (again, differs from story to story). According to the story, if you watched this video, you would be compelled to watch it untill the end, and "surivors" eventually went insane and took their own lives. We had to immediately take care of this, after a murderer, who was caught making a strange animation on a Scratch project before the termination, was terminated from our employee list , who we suspected to be the culprit of this horrifying video. After doing a quick analyis of every Scratch-related forum, we found a very suspicous post. This post was from a user called "scratcher". It did not matter if this name was taken or not, the username was still "scratcher". Their profile picture was a smiley face with the text "murdr" and "HELP?" trying to cover it up. This is where things get extremely strange. Their text was a possible cognitohazard. All interviewed surivors which were amesticized after with the cover-up story of a very funny meme that spread like wildfire on every Scratch forum said after they read the text, they were instantly compelled to click on the link redirecting them to the .avi in the post's signature, meaning that THIS was a real cognitohazard, not a exploit. VIDEO CONTENTS The video is precisely 16 minutes and 6 secounds long, no more, no less. We call this .avi file EXP-003-1. At the start it seems like a normal .avi of a Scratch Cat walking in a forest, the exact same as a project of a smooth Scratch Cat walking animation with 16 frames the famous Scratcher @griffpatch posted on May 15, 2013. At the 5-minute mark things get slightly strange. The sky gets darker and the Scratch Cat's smile becomes exactly identical to the "calm" form of EXP-003-2. The watcher will be instantly compelled to not click off the video even though the smile is unnerving. After exactly one minute and 6 seconds (6:06), low volume screams will be heard in the background, and the haste of the "Cat" gets faster. At the 10 minute mark, the Cat will show signs of becoming heavily injured, intensifying more and more until 12 minutes into the video. The cat is now crawling as its legs have been chopped off by a unknown force and a trail of blood is being left behind it as it struggles to move. The screams have already become louder and the trees are now burning. At 15:50, the following text will flash: "YOU LEARNED CONSEQUENCES. IF LEARN CONSEQUENCES THEN EXPERIENCE CONSEQUENCE. VERY FUN FUN FUN". At 16:06, the tab on which the video is playing will immediately close and the next Scratch project the user makes will have EXP-003-02 inside. AFTER-CONSEQUENCES OF WATCHING The next project created after walkcat.avi's dangerous "effects" have been afflicted will have the regular Scratch Cat sprite in the project replaced with EXP-003-02. This is a sentient Scratch Cat sprite which we suspected has been trained by the terminated employee to manipulate and control. EXP-003-02 can talk through using a hidden "say" block after inspection, we cannot find anywhere. After clicking the green flag, EXP-003-02 will begin to talk with the user and attempt to control them. It uses a tactic similar to a unrelated Scratch entity, or .exe called "Benevolence", where it gives bad fortune and then a couple days later, claims it has "fixed" the problem with your bad fortune, which has disappeared, and you should talk with it. This baits the user into talking with it all day, but can be supressed by giving amnestics while it is talking to the victim. Eventually EXP-003-02 claims it has to go, and disappears untill the very next day. Any dreams that the user dreams while sleeping (if they do) will be cognitohazardous and over time will coerce the user into taking their own life. Life will go on as usual - work, talk with the "Cat", eat, drink, sleep and repeat, and this will continue until the user goes insane and kills theirself. On the very last day of the victim's life, EXP-003-02 will change to their corpse form and say the exact same text to them that flashed in walkcat.avi: "YOU LEARNED CONSEQUENCES.
