As the race started between Leon, Tucaneon, and Vulteon, Vulteon's sleigh control didn't go well because she doesn't have training to go sleighing, so her sleigh bounced off Vulteon and as Vulteon flys and falls down, she fell into another snowy hill on her face, which made the race stop.
