So you guys know how the title is Loam alone? I searched up what Loam means and its a type of mud. In the story they have a so called "death-mud." I think what @9rainbowtails is trying to hint with the title is that he is all alone. It rhymes, so it might be what she is going for. Also since the title is LOAM Alone, it could be that he is the only cat that hasn't gone grayscale. I also don't think when you touch the mud you die. I think when you touch it, nothing matters. As shown nobody will eat with him, clean his back, and go to gatherings. (IF you are a warrior cat then you would clean somebodie's back (IF THEY ASKED) eat with eachother, and of course go to gatherings. I also do thiink that Loam could be color blind. Another theory is that the reason why they bring him out for hunting so often is that because they don't care about anything, another thing could drive them forcefully: to make Loam like them. Since they don't feel it could be possible that because they are so cruel they want to risk him to touch the mud, and be like them. THATS IT BYEEEEEEEEEEEE
