This project goes with a math lesson on coordinate geometry and similarity. Students draw a simple figure using coordinates. Then they enlarge its dimensions by a scale factor and can see that both the x and the y have to be multiplied by the same number for the image to be similar to the original. Adding to the coordinates doesn't change the figure's size. Instead it moves to a different location on the graph.
