There's sometimes a light mist in the area that provides better camoflouge for the Cascadians. The water is typically pretty warm in this region. Their camp is located by the biggest waterfall, surrouned by rocks. In the center of the camp, there is a huge tree where the Ursa Major and Minor live. The camp is very well protected and sheilded from bad weather. Cats here come in all sorts of colors and shapes, typically either lean and skinny with short thick fur and others are muscular and have long but thin fur. ꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶ ๋ ࣭ ⭑꒷꒦꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶ ๋ ࣭ ⭑꒷꒦ roles... ⸙ Ursa Major ♥︎ the ruler of the Cascades, they are the protector of the dynasty, a servant to "The Ursa" who is their god, they serve under The Ursa and vow to protect the dynasty. Their suffix is constellation. Ursa Minor ♥︎ the heir of the Ursa Major, a child of Ursa Major that is chosen to become the next ruler, they are hand picked by the Ursa Major themselves upon their planting ceremony. Their suffix is crown. The Seyfret ♥︎ the Seyfret is supposed to read signs from 'The Stars' and 'The Plane of Wandering Souls' they announce prophecies and omens that they find. Their suffix is galaxy The Shaman ♥︎ the Shaman is supposed to heal cats in their dynasty using the herbs collected by the Raven. Their suffix is herb The Raven ♥︎ the Raven is supposed to collect herbs for the Shaman to use, they are the best gardener in the dynasty and do most of the caretaking of the land to make sure everything is in order. Their suffix is raven. tetras ♥︎ they are any cat below the age of 6 moons who has yet to start training. Their suffix is minnow sprouts ♥︎ they are any cat who is currently training under a Cascadian who is fully trained. Their suffix is sprout catfishes ♥︎ fully trained cascadians who are very good at swimming and fishing and all things water. Their suffix is given to them by their mentor sequoias ♥︎ fully trained cascadians who are very good at climbing and hunting and navigating the trees. Their suffix is given to them by their mentor sparrows ♥︎ fully trained cascadians who are very good at running, they are speedy and quick and good on the ground. Their suffix is given to them by their mentor retired ♥︎ no cascadian ever stops being either a sparrow, sequoia or catfish, instead, they add retired to their title and become perment teachers of the dynasty. Their name does not change *they use different terms for their seasons as well, make sure you know these leaf-fall ♥︎ fishing season leaf-bare ♥︎ hibernation season new-leaf ♥︎ planting season green-leaf ♥︎ flower season *other terms you should know The Stars ♥︎ the skies at night that smile upon their dynasty, an entity that watches over them and grants them life The Plane of Wandering Souls ♥︎ the place where you go once you die after returning your body to the earth Teacher ♥︎ what they call a mentor Cascadian ♥︎ a member of The Cascade Dynasty *reserved suffixes/prefixes (for this dynasty only) ⤷ ursa ⤷ cascade ⤷ constellation ⤷ crown ⤷ galaxy ⤷ herb ⤷ raven ⤷ seyfret ⤷ shaman ⤷ tetra ⤷ minnow ⤷ sprout ⤷ catfish ⤷ sequoia ⤷ sparrow ꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶ ๋ ࣭ ⭑꒷꒦꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶ ๋ ࣭ ⭑꒷꒦ traditions... ⸙ Planting Ceremony ♥︎ The ceremony where a Tetra will plant their seed (from the Bear Tree in the middle of camp) in the forest, put a rock that they'll remember next to it before the leader announces who their teacher will be, the new sprouts will be praised and there will be tons of exchanging of the gifts prior to the ceremony The Garden Festival ♥︎ This takes place at the start of the Garden season, it is where every cat above the age of 6 moons gets herb seeds from The Raven who tells each cat where to plant each seed. Each cat plants their seed and they make a wish, and The Ursa will grant their wish due to their kind deed The Flower Festival ♥︎ The flower festival is where every cat goes out and collects flowers before they wilt away. For every flower they collect, they plant a flower seed somewhere around that area. Flowers are traded and woven into accessories. This festival happens at the start of the Flower Season The Fishing Festival ♥︎ The fishing festival happens during the great salmon run when huge masses of fish run through the rivers. Catfish become leaders in this festival and get to lead small groups of cats to fishing spots to fish. A competition is held to see which indvisual cat can catch the most fish. ꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶ ๋ ࣭ ⭑꒷꒦꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶ ๋ ࣭ ⭑꒷꒦ code... ⸙ *punishments will be listed if there are any like follows [punishment ♥︎ minor/mid/major] ♥︎ all tetras and retired will get priority, if you see one struggling, you are required to help them regardless of their dynasty
♥︎ do not attack your fellow cascadians with your claws [punishment : camp duty/exile/] ♥︎ ammendments to the code can only be made if at least 3/4ths of the dynasty agree to the rule change ♥︎ Ursa Major may assign duties to anyone.
