This is the official sonic modual for sonic revolution (Don't worry about animating anything yet I'll do that when the time comes) @ishowspeed2k asked for a bitmap sonic modual for Sonic Revolution, so I got to work. First, I started with a basic vector shape for modualing before useing a onion layering tool draw the bitmap sprite. I wanted to go with a hybrid between classic sonic and modern sonic in a handrawn style with a thick black outline and, OH MAN does it look so good! I think I'll do tails next... I'm super happy with the final result and I think if we somehow get all the art to look THIS stylized we could have ourselves a BANGER game on our hands!
