Going by the name Eight, she wanted to live a peaceful life among Inklings. She set off for Inkopolis Square. Reports show that within five minutes of escaping, she encountered two Inklings, revealed to be Cap’n Cuttlefish and Agent 3 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon. Cap’n Cuttlefish ordered Agent 3 to fire his Splattershot at the Octoling. Agent 3 reluctantly agreed, even though he didn’t feel it was necessary. Before the ink could be fired, the ground opened up beneath them, causing them to land in an abandoned Octarian base called the Deepsea Metro. Eight and Cap’n Cuttlefish landed together, while Agent 3 was nowhere to be found. Eight and Cuttlefish called a truce to find Agent 3, and with the help of popular idol group Off The Hook, they fought a 12,000 year old AI known as TARTAR.exe and returned to the surface. Records show Agent 3 also made it to the surface, but there are no logs of what happened to him before that.
