Alright, let’s talk about Splatoon 4! Since Team Past won Splatoon 3’s final fest (Past vs Present vs Future), and final fests always impact the next game (*see “credits” box for details), meaning we will get (drumroll pleeeaase)… A PAST-THEMED Splatoon 4! Since S1’s final fest impacted S2’s story mode, and S2’s final fest impacted the aesthetic of S3, we’re due for another story mode impacting final fest! So, here are some predictions for Splatoon 4’s story mode! ———————————————- PREDICTION #1! This is the one I think is more likely to happen! You play as an Inkling or Octoling, it won’t change your story. Callie and Marie alert you that even though Octavio stepped down, some Octarians built a time machine to rewrite history so Octarians win the Great Turf War. You, Callie, and Marie step through. A young Cap’n Cuttlefish recruits you for the Squidbeak Splatoon, and your mission is to infiltrate the Octarian bases and pull the plug to their power source so their weapons don’t work, ensuring Inklings win the Great Turf War. Callie and Marie play their usual roles. PREDICTION #2! This one is a bit more crazy, heh. Play as an Inkling or Octoling, but it changes your story drastically. If you play as an Inkling, you have the story of Prediction #1. But if you play as an Octoling, you fight on Octavio’s side, and basically do Prediction #1, but reversed. I don’t think Nintendo would do this though because like, it makes no sense to win the great turf war as an octarian and then finish the story mode and the present-day world is totally normal. Also, where would the squid sisters factor in? The aesthetic will still just look regular and not past themed. I don’t think we’ll get a new species like inktoling, cuttleling, or jellyling, but we probably will get more customization. I don’t have any predictions for idols or dlc yet lol. Stay fresh!
