Instructions

Until the 1980s, Naidun relied on imported Alviet MBTs for its main armored force, specifically the TA-62, TA-72, and TA-80 models. In 1979, relations between Naidun and the Alviet Union began to deteriorate with the Free Trade Act, which allowed Nadiun to freely trade with most of the Western world, to the disdain of the Alviet Union. Shortly after, the Alivet Union halted the sale of all MBTs to Naidun, pushing Naidun to develop its own MBT project. In 1982, the PTT-202 prototype was developed, and from there the Type 84 was soon created in 1984. Due to budget constraints, the Type 84 was delayed two years before being adopted into service. The first Type 84, or the Type 84-I model, used a 105mm Shogu smoothbore cannon. It housed 4 crew, the gunner, loader, driver, and commander. The BV modification added a much-needed IR sight system and ERA armor. In 2001, the need for a 120mm cannon was requested by the armed forces due to a rising threat of an SATO invasion. Therefore, the Type 84-II model was created, not only adding a new cannon but also overhauling the drivetrain, armor, and fire control systems. According to experts, it was equivalent/on par with Alvertion and SATO tanks. Following the Naidunese Economic boom, the Type 84-III was created in 2006. It was built upon the former Type 84-II, which modernized most systems in the tank.
