( i'd use them as a herbalist in the memento more roleplay if i got the position, if not i'd just sign them up in that roleplay ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- [ THE EVERLASTING CLOVER ☘️ verdant / storytelling seed, fem-ish vagueboy, he / they / fae ] /oh wow. there's uh. . . a lot more cats than i thought there would be. should i just start from the beginning?/ small kittens were gathered by his feet. they'd recently joined heritageclan as a herbalist, and the kits were eager to know his story. /i'll start from the beginning then.../ " well, " he began, " i was born to my mother nahida and my father petrichor, along with my brothers idyllic and ammil. i also had an older sister named pristine, although she left to explore the world with her lover bucolic not long after i was born. yes, i know, bucolic is a weird name. we all had rather odd names i guess, except for maybe pristine. but enough about that! my mother was a kind cat, who wore flower crows and mini jackets from so many layers of dragonfly wings! her eyes were a stunning green, like peridot. you've never seen peridot?! oh well. . . my father was more stern and reserved, although he loved my family just as much. he was a blue-toned cat with a cat-sized salior's hat and a seashell tail wrap. he went missing when i was almost an adult, as you all would say it. my mother was saddened, or course, but she didn't dwell on it. after all, my father was quite often gone on fishing trips. he did eventually come back a few moons later, and after being scolded by my mother everything was normal aga--whoops! i forgot to tell you about my siblings! well, idyllic fit his name quite well, he was quiet and calm and made a wonderful mediator whenever the other men in the family (ammil, petrichor, & bucolic, verdant never joined in these fights) got into fights. i don't know why, but i think his personality made him attractive to the other cats we lived with, but more on those cats later. whew. my brother ammil. he was a feisty man, always arguing and really quite strong, if i do say so myself. now that doesn't mean he wasn't kind, as he cared oh-so-much about this cat he loved, and faer name was amore. she tragically was lost due to an illness, however. my sister pristine. i didn't see her much but she was quite a pretty lady, usually quiet but never hesitated to add in her two cents to a story of spark an argument. maybe that's why bucolic liked her. oh and i guess i should speak about him as well. bucolic was a lot like ammil, but slightly more quite and definitely more clever. they were alike in many was, and they /could/ have been good friends, but no, instead they were rivals. now enough about my family! we can now talk about the "other cats" i lived with. i lived in a group called the sophrosyne. what does that mean? it means when you're happy, healthy, and know who you want to be in life. and it was much like that, life in the sophrosyne. we lived on glaucous fields and hills with wildflowers. oh how i loved that life. when i grew old enough, our medic tulgey--yes, yes i know it sounds odd!--taught me all the herbs i know. usually we'd would just learn the basics--yes, every cat had to learn them! anyways, i took a liking to herbs and he had me stay five extra moons to learn everything knew. why did i leave that wonderful life? well, you remember how i told you pristine left with her boyfriend bucolic? i left on my own, for the same reason my sister did--to explore the world. most cats in the sophrosyne did this. only the medic, the leader, the heir, the elderly, and those who chose to come back to have children would stay, but even the latter would stay indefinitely. will i go back? perhaps someday, when i've seen enough of heritageclan, i'll make the journey back home. " he finished with a smile. it was a rather long story, and faer mouth hurt, but it was worth saying those familiar words of home with a meaning. - end -
