Hi. I'm back. ...I can explain. So, why did I leave, why am I back, and what's next? I'll answer all of that right here, right now. But before that, let's talk about this new look! You might know that Cabbage, my mascot, has gotten redesigned many times over the years. However, the design that I made in 2023 is easily the longest lasting at over two years. In fact, for a while, I thought I was gonna stick with that one forever. But, I think that a new look should be the perfect way to signal a new era for my account and my projects. As for the design itself, It's kind of a combination of all my previous designs, but with a new pastel color palette. Now that that's done, allow me to explain why I left. Back in November of 2024, I had an event that made me realize how important is it to take care of your own mental health. After that, I realized how much Scratch was stressing me out. So, I took time off to rethink how I was doing things and make a plan for how things would go moving forward. In short, I realized I was taking Scratch too seriously. At least for what I was doing. I kept setting deadlines that made Scratch feel like work, rather than a passion project. I wasn't making stuff because I liked doing it, I was making stuff to get it done. So here's 2 things I'm gonna do... 1. No more deadlines. Plan releases after I finish the games. 2. As I've said before, I'll be developing Take Flight 4 alongside the community and we'll take as much time as we need. Well, I'm gonna try to apply a similar system for my other planned games! Speaking of which, what am I planning next? Well, pretty much the same as before: Just One More Game, Swing Force, and Take Flight 4. I'll share development projects or demos first so that you guys can playtest and give feedback. I'll go into more detail in a future project. Hmmm... I felt like I had another project planned, but I just can't put my finger on it. Surely it won't release TOMORROW, MARCH 21, that would be absurd... Anyway, there's one more thing I wanna mention: I now identify as non-binary (neither male nor female), which means I use they/them pronouns. That said, pronouns don't matter too much to me, so I'm also fine with he/him or she/her. And with that, I'm done yapping for now. This has been S_Cabbage, and keep on scratching. P.S. This new design has a name: "Spring Cabbage". (That name has multiple meanings!)
