Instructions

[ This is a report from head scientist, Dave Sunbury. Who is the one who made this happen, we are delighted to hear from you, but currently we are still in development of our analysis, anyway here is scientist Dave in his "Hazardous-Restraint Suit", which is like Hazmat but less advanced. ] [ HRS: A suit designed by Hegelian Researchers and the Hegelian Biohazardous Administration. It comes with a fully sanitized and hot-waxed grey suit that is thick, filled with thick padding to prevent the contamination of the wearer. There is a padded mask inside, soaked in a neutral chemical solution and dried out, thus why it smells a bit funky. ] [ Click the book for more info. ]

Description

(Really me saying I do not understand the first thing about oil-safety and drilling) [ David's Book:Entry #1, Project "Fall Blau" (Case Blue), July 2nd, 1898. We are at work, hard at it especially. We are tasked with finding some solution. We are working intensively with a series of agents, aiming to make mud fluids or chemical agents that can work together to provide hydrostatic pressure around the wellbore and prevent the formation of "Formation Fluids", which tend to be a major problem with drilling, causing "The Buck", there are indeed a few ways to spot potential blowouts ahead of time, much earlier than normal, such as changes in drilling speeds and primarily the return change of these "mud fluids" we are designing something that will be using oil-based mixtures, such heavy oils require careful use and thus we wear these thick suits when handling them. High-command says that this well help the TSSC, as the need for this fluid will prevent the catastrophic event known as "Blowouts", originally we had tried to design a ram-rod to block off the extreme flow of oil, but we quickly learned that that isn't going to work. So we've came up with this, "Mud" we call it, using heavy oils such as petroleum from Hegelia itself we can mix clays and chemicals, to increase drilling stability and to prevent "The Buck" phase. There are a few concerns as to how this works, as we do not know the mud fluid from actual oil. It also interferes with cuttings for sampling and testing. ]
