kk wait this is a real one this time lol /srs AITJ for breaking my cheer diet while I was on break? For context, I’m a pretty intense cheerleader- I’m talking practice every day except Sundays, for hours on end. I’m a flyer, so I have to stay under 100lbs. Were weighed once a week, and I’m currently 87lbs as a teenager. Every three months, we get a week off practice (you hear phrases like cheat days, this is our cheat week) and I went to Starbucks. The horror. Here was my order. Tall iced latte with almond milk and light ice, double chocolate brownie, and ham and swiss croissant (don’t judge that I got two food items, Starbucks is just too good bro). It seems pretty mundane, right? Well, in that week, I gained two pounds. For starters, 85lbs is borderline underweight for someone my age, but my doctor is well aware of my athletics and I’m fairly underdeveloped, so it’s normal for me. Well, when I got back to cheer practice, they weighed me. I was still well under 100lbs, but because of the weight gain I was lectured. It was literally two pounds. I’m not planning on trying to lose it, too. I think I deserve that. But now my cheer coach is annoyed with me, and I’m lower on our ranking system (did I mention we had that?). Oh well. AITJ?
Edit 11/20/24 Yall are so supportive! Thank you so, so much.
