Description

Just made minor edits and part swaps, including the wings, landing gear, rudder, and windshield The Lockheed VC-121A Constellation is a VIP transport aircraft modified from a C-121A, modified from an L-749. This Connie, 48-0613 in specific, use to transport General Douglas MacArthur. After being retired from VIP transport service, it then came into the ownership of NASA, along with C-121G N420NA and N421NA, obtaining the civil registration N422NA, which it still uses today. Acquired by the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, California, sometime in the 90s-2000s, it sat awaiting restoration, until being sold to Lewis Air Legends. On June 20, 2023, Bataan made its first flight after 8 years of restoration work. This is also when I saw it for the first time. Specifications Crew: 5 Length: 95' 2" Wingspan: 123' Engines: Wright R-3350-75 Top speed: 290 kts Max Altitude: 24,440 ft Sources: Planes of Fame Air Museum, Wikipedia
