Description

Credit to Domix for the style. ------------------------------------------------------------- Hey. Some of y'all know I actually own a Mopar M body. A 1978 Diplomat (Top one), but it used to belong to someone I loved dearly, and I wanna share the story of how we got it, and how it's still ours. This project is a tribute to my beloved Grandfather, who I miss so much. My grandfather bought this car in the 2000s for about 800 bucks, because in reallity no one's giving 20,000 bucks for a car like this. He took it to car shows for a bit, showed off with it, but eventually left it to rot around 2012-2014. But a kid came around and tried buying it. My grandfather was gonna sell it to him, but the kid moved thankfully, so I still have a trace of my grandfather with me. Unfortunately my grandfather passed away about 5 years later, a month before my birthday, so it's been sitting in our driveway for 10 years now. During the time she's been sitting, she's been damaged a lot. I now have to buy a few new bulbs, take out the leather in the dash and replace it, almost fully replace all inside panels, somehow quit the trunk lid from rusting, get new horns, replace the winshield, find the keys (or just pick it), clean both outside and inside fully, repaint it, fix the mirrors, fix the antenna, get new tires, and so much more. She's nowhere near good condition which saddens me, so that's why I'm spending the rest of these 5 years, or maybe even my entire life dedicated to my Grandfather's beloved car, to restore it to factory condition like he always dreamed. I thank my dad for helping me restore some things on it by telling me how this thing ticks, and I thank you Randal for not selling your car. I miss you Randal... I love you...
