As yall have noticed, I haven’t made a new side vector in a bit, with two poll aircraft to be made. The F-15 is almost done, but still needs wings. The ES44 will be made after. Aircraft I have retired from making modern airliner vectors for now, for ethical reasons based off crediting and reference ownership. Most of my tracing references are either stock photos, or come from model kit manufacturers. These decisions are made based off detail level. I prefer references with high quality, and panel lines. This is also an issue, as the amount of lines makes it harder to interpret parts, which is why I take longer to make them. Locomotives Locomotive vectors aren’t too hard. My references come from either Athearn, Scaletrains, or Trainiax, to ensure the highest level of detail. However, I have decreased production on these vectors mostly due to the fact that I have ran out of locomotives to make that I have an interest in. I am also never making a steam locomotive again. They are way more complex than diesels, and usually reference photos are low quality. This can be seen on the S-1 and Big Boy. So don’t expect a steamer ever again. General Production The main reason why I don’t make vectors is time, energy, and motivation. I am in school, and need to focus on my work. Due to this, I am often tired, and have little time to work on vectors. This also decreases my motivation to work on them. I occasionally do hop on and get a bit of work done, but usually it’s not much. The B-36 and F-15 are good examples of this. Workload, energy, and a loss of motivation due to complex parts. What happened to Canvas? I have stopped displaying progress on RailAce Canvas because I do not want a work in progress stolen. I have switched to private projects that I call “Ace Copies” that contain all the parts of a vector that I have made, just in case I lose it. Current Plans Below are plans for my next vectors.
