Grove had been through this so many times. He and the rest of the Council would ressurect Spark the day before the champions were set to arrive. Since Basil was going to be the one to deliver them, he was the one to lead it. Grove just hoped Root hadn't decided to join them. He'd already had his chance, and had failed. Maybe Basil shouldn't have shown him mercy that day....Grove shook his head as Spark's familar rusty golden colored paw stretched out and began to pull his body up. Here we go. The "You are only an obstacle for me, you only exist for me to kill you with my paws, your only meaning of life is for me to slay you" speech. Just as soon as Spark emerged fully and sent Grove the death glare, he marched towards him with fury, opening his mouth in a snarl. But before he could say a word Amber, Feuiya's counterpart, burst through the door. No one minded that she was late, since she was the one in charge of making sure the champions didn't die before their great battle with The Council this time. But...she seemed...distressed? grove wasn't the best at reading emotions. Pausing to catch her breath she finally spat out the words she'd been incoherently mumbling. "Root! He's...he's planning to join them..." Basil looked as if someone had stabbed him, but before he could speak Guiveneer, Coraline's counterpart, shouted in protest. "WHAT?! But he's already had his chance! he failed to defeat us, and he'd be dead if YOU hadn't spared him! Just because he's your counterpart doesn't mean you have to act like you have another purpose then dying at his claws!" She whirled around to face Basil, then turned back to Amber. Perhaps it was because their counterparts were siblings, but Guiveneer acted much nicer to Amber than anyone else. "How'd you find this out?" She asked more softly. Amber paused, still looking extremly worried. "Earlier, I saw him talking to /him/," She added with a glare at Basil. "to make sure he got him as well. Maybe he wants to betray Coraline and Feuiya?? He's always preffered to be one of us than a champion...I didn't think he'd go this far though..." Grove shook his head. "Well, we can't nessacarily stop him without alerting the two current champions of our exsistence, and it's not time yet. All we can do is wait to see if he'll actually go through with this plan." Sweeping his gaze around to silence any protest, particulary Corneilius, Lakia's counterpart who despite her being close to Feuiya, was not chosen. He turned away, hiding the fear that buzzed in his mind for the upcoming battle.
