this is the first fully conscious stage 4 pheoinx may not be able to talk and despite him still carrying the virus he is careful not to infect or harm any survivors but despite this he still needs to eat so he eats animals as a source of food in order to survive he is trying to get rid of the virus from his body but like always it is only temporary as it is never fully gone.
