(1 hit for each tile) ----- however any powerups in the boom zone are erased ----- costs 12 points --- freeze {filled circle}: prevents any attack from others for 3 remixes. you cannot remix while freeze is active ----- the entire land is covered in a translucent cyan cover with some white lines for deco. label when the freeze expires. ----- have a backdrop of this template for easy reference ----- costs 8 points --- drill {T}: breaks through up to 4 defense in one tile. if less than 4 defense on tile, also claim tile. ----- costs 10 points --- block {X}: adds 4 defense (or maxes out defense) to one tile of choice in one turn ----- costs 10 points --- charge {/}: allows claiming 4 contiguous tiles at a time (basically claim land in the shape of a tetromino) ----- can only be purchased, costs 18 points, can only have 2 charges at a time --- burst {pentagram}: allows for 4 turns per remix for the next two remixes a player makes ----- can only be purchased, costs 18 points, can only have 2 bursts at a time --- maximum of 3 of each powerup (except charge, burst) can be possessed simultaneously by one player ----- if player tries to claim more, the powerup is voided --- powerup icons can be black or white depending on visibility --- powerups disappear after being used. location of powerups within land doesn't matter but they must stay where they are ----- stealing powerups is only possible if there isn't enough room in the defending player's land, otherwise they are moved - size AND points are recorded --- start at 36 size, 0 points --- no decrease in points due to size. no increase in points due to breaking defense --- can buy powerups/defense with points --- leaderboard for size then points if tied. (both size and points are listed) - each remix, a player can do two turns! they can --- claim an unclaimed tile (+1 pt) ----- isolated islands of 2 claimed and undefended tiles of another player can be claimed in one turn (+2 pts) --- add defense to one of player's tiles (-1 pt) {it's like towering} {up to 5 defense on one tile} ----- player must have at least 0 points at all times --- attack one of someone else's tiles (+1 pt) --- use a powerup if player have one {can only do once per remix} (boom: +4, drill: up to +1} --- purchase a powerup (subtracts points) {can only do once per remix} ----- purchased powerups can be placed anywhere in the land --- cannot purchase and then use the same powerup in one remix - perhaps assign someone to archive every remix so that a timelapse can be made eventually - potential late-game powerup: bolt {I}: claims an entire row/col of tiles from one end of the land to the boundary --- boundary can be an unclaimed block --- costs 45 points and can only have one bolt at a time - another one: nuke {octagram}: claim a 3x3 square outside land (1 hit per tile) --- powerups in nuke zone are erased --- costs 40 points and can only have one nuke at a time - potential idea: every real-life week, a global boost in turns per remix from 2 to 3 for 24 hours
