~Hi there! I wrote this poem for no reason. It’s basically about a girl that everyone thinks [oofed], but she didn’t. Enjoy!~ {…………………………………} There once lived a girl named Violet, Who stayed by herself, All alone. With no one there to smile at Though she never missed people’s moans. For she had once been among people. She had once lived among others, And they did not think her their equal. She had once lived among people, Till she realised they were fickle. So she packed her bag, And slung it over her back, And headed off into the great wide nowhere. As days passed she grew tired And sat herself down on a rock. Till she did hear a twig snap, And a horrible beast appeared. Her old village did hear her scream, But no one came to help her Not even in her dreams. Hear the legend of poor little Violet, Who left and never returned. Slain by a beast, Met an end very violent. Some say she burned. Some say her end was deserved. Obviously for the villagers No lessons were learned. But I know the truth. She survived. Who knows? Maybe you could find her, Out in the woods. But she is still out there, Somewhere. Not that the villagers would care. They went on with their lives, But every night, They would hear her cry out. They would hear her shouts And pleas for help. The children would wake with a yelp Asking “What on Earth is that horrible noise?” Clutching on to their favourite toys. Come find her, If you dare. You could be the one who cares. Or maybe you, Too, Will vanish into the air. Come find her. Hear her pleas. Come find her. Please. ‘Come find me…’
