Origin Story Gabby Noomermann °^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^° Author's note --- Hi! So this is a short story that i came up with in junction with my new oc, Gabby Noomermann! So, i hope you enjoy! - *+Artsy+* °^°^°^°^°^°^°^°^° "What am I doing here?" I wonder, staring up at my new room ceiling. I lay on my bed and toss and turn. I'm bored, but I don't want to move. I start staring at one of my posters of me and my friends in the 'amuture puppeteer society', my old best friend, Ava grinning as we put on a play for our friends. Hi I am Gabby Noomermann. I am a 13 year old, seventh grade, amuture puppeteer, and I just moved to the big city. I miss my old friends, my old house, my foal, Valley. You would think that a 13-year-old would be able to try to fit in well right? Wrong. Today at school, i was walking into my new school, and feeling very nervous. I didn't know anyone and i was coming in late, because we moved in January. I sat alone for most of the classes and noticed that my semi bright colors brought attencion and glares from the other seventh graders. I couldn't even hide if i tried. I sat alone in classes, alone in the halls, alone at lunch. Everywhere I went, i saw this one girl with dark brown hair up in a bun, blue eyes, and light skin watching me. I blushed, my face turning the same dark marroon as my hair. I didn't want people to pay attention to me, let alone stare at me like some wild animal. This kept happening for the day, stare, alone, stare. Now can you see why I'm upset? Anyways, tomorrow is a new day and a new day for more staring. I hear my 15 year old sister chatting on the phone though the wall. I bang on it. My sister, Daisy bangs back louder. 'Uugh, shes so annoying!' I think. And after a while, i fall asleep. °^°^°^°^° I wake up the next morning. I sift though my closet and find a lavender shirt, light blue headband, and green pants. I'm about to put them on when i think of yesterday when I wore bright colors. I decide to find a black sweater and I put it on top of a white shirt, paired with blue jeans. I check myself in the mirror. "Hm not bad, doesn't look like me, but- desperate times call for desperate measures." I stare at myself, and put my dark red hair up in a ponytail, my tan skin free of make-up and my wide brown-ish gold eyes lined with a bit of mascara. 'Im ready' i think and i walk to the bus stop. °^°^° It's lunch time and nothing has happened yet. I silently eat the school's calzone, which is surprisingly good, and see if anyone will approach me. Nobody so far. Then, the girl from yesterday, the one with her brown hair in a bun comes over and asks "hey, could I sit with you?" "Uh-uh sure!" "Thank you! I'm Caroline, but call me Carol." "Nice to meet you, I'm Gabby." "Hi Gabby." "Hi Carol." We eat in silence for a bit until Carol says, "You know, I liked it better when you had bright colors..." "Really?" "Yeah. It shows the real you, not some fake you with only black." "Huh." I think I l1ke this girl. Then, the lunch bell rings. Carol asks, "So what class do you have next?" "Ela, Ms. Bacname." "Same!" "Really?!" She nods. We walk to class together and sit together. I guess I do have a friend.
