Foundation and Principles: As stated the Sovereign States of Hegelia was founded in 1827, specifically August 1st, 1827. When an influential man by the name of Franklin Hayes arrived from neighboring lands, he wanted to create a bastion of prosperity and hope for the people who trusted him, which at that time was about 300 or so people, many of them resided in Port Aux, the capital of the newly proclaimed state, although not recognized. Franklin quickly began to attract business with the promise of a warm-vacation spot for tourists in the region, but there was also another key part in the economy..their port. Which is Port Aux, it is the largest and capital of the state, it is heavily prized it being the only warm-water port that could be used by the Hegelian government. This port grew in size as Franklin encourage intercommerce and began a new era of history for the land, as Port Aux quickly becomes a place to live happily, with farms being set up despite the hot temperature. Crops like lentils and corns quickly became staples as they were heat-tolerant and could prosper in the hot steppe climate. They do not really eat meat, but that is fine. Back to Franklin, who at that time had established Port Aux into a prosperous trading city, with a large harbour with dry-docks and cranes to make loading and unloading easier.
