I'm sure this could be seen as rather political, before I even start, and if you would rather not be exposed to what happened again, I respect your decision. You can leave if you feel, by all means. Either way, I'm just going to cut right to the chase with this one, because I'm sure recent events make it pretty obvious that I at least should say SOMETHING. This is more me offering my two cents after having a whole day to process the fact that this happened, but well... Yeah. Granted, I don't know what to really say in response to the actual thing happening other than the fact that I am sorely disappointed in people, at least many of those in my country. [This is an opinion ofc] But now, for what I want to get to, What am I going to do? What should you guys do? Well, you're free to take any advice I give you with a grain of salt, of course. I'm sure it is going to be rather difficult for a lot of people given Scratch has plenty of LGBTQ+ people who happen to be minors, closeted, or both. If what's said is put in place, I wish the best for all of you, and I at the very least offer these: - If you feel like venting about the situation at ALL, you are entirely free to do so either on my Scratch profile page or by DMing my DC [nixthatoneartist] - Stay safe, and after January, I would avoid things like processed meat given projected lifting of regulations for such. - Get a job, if you can. They're hard to come by these days, but with projected ideas it's entirely possible things are going to raise in price and money is going to be deathly important. - If it wasn't obvious already, this was about the election, but do note that it's the man's last term in office. - Stay strong, and survive. People need you, whether it's someone in your life now or perhaps someone you'll meet in the future. Every person is important, and especially looking at minorities, We must survive. We will. -------------------------- That takes me to what my plan is. And to answer that. I don't know at the moment. Our family had actually gotten passports in case a dire situation happened and it's entirely possible we could be moving to Canada, but now that something has actually happened I have not really received any element of the plan. We have been in the middle of selling our house anyway after the past hurricanes of this summer, so the timing works somewhat in our favor. I'll keep you posted on that and probably make a project similar to @ceebee 's moving one if I do move out of the country. That's about it tho. So far, project progress won't be impacted, but given we were kinda planning on moving around anyway, that might change in a month or so. - Nix out, stay safe everyone
