He was not named upon birth, as his parents decided to name him for his deeds later. When he was 5 years old, and had more independence, his parents began to leave for longer hunts, and he’d be left alone to watch over his two infant sisters. Due to this, he was named Deinatalin. Although Talin did its best to take care of its sisters while its parents were absent, they wandered too far from home one day, and Talin never found them. His parents, disappointed by this, never called him by his name again, for he no longer earned it. Once it was old enough, it left its parent's protection, and went to wander on its own. After many months of travel, he noticed that an Eyinak had been following him, feeding off of the scraps from his kills. Through more traveling, Talin slowly gained the Eyinak’s trust, and offered his food to it. Eventually, they were able to comfortably shelter together, and occasionally the Eyinak would ride Talin. He named it Jehiloh, which translates to clever. Talin still wanders alone, content to protect Jehiloh, and live up to his name.
