Markus Argon the Nautiling reference Note: The pictures marked with are Nautilings like Markus. The ones marked with an A are Ammonights, a different species of Ancient. There are significant differences, so the N ones should be used. Nautilings are based off of the Nautilus, and have several strange powers. Unlike Inklings and Octolings, they have a skeletal system of shell, potentially store ink in the chambers, and even the ability to survive in water! And Nautilings, unlike Ammonights, can swim proficiently. Markus is one of the Nautilings at the end of their Exile Period, and thus has traditional wardrobe resembling simple celtic style and seaweed. A Nautiling's typical weaponry includes swords, staves, and tools, as well as their 86 stretchy arms on their heads. Markus uses a specially made splosher that allows for massive amounts of water thrown, as well as a curved staff mainly used in underwater fighting and physical combat.
