Scene 1: The scene begins in a forest clearing. There is a fire in the center, men sitting around it. Multiple tents line the clearing. Some men sleep in the tents or sit around the fire, the others keep watch. Johanne is walking around the edge of the clearing, gazing into the woods. He looked impatiently at his watch, then up at the sky knowing his shift ended when the sun rose. Johanne: “How much longer on the shift, boot?” Johanne looked over to Nixon, his boot. Nixon: “It’s barely begun, sir.” Nixon didn’t look at Johanne. He stayed looking forward in a soldier position. Johanne: “God, this job becomes harder every day. Say, what are you doing out here, kid? Shouldn’t someone as young as you be on the front lines?” Nixon: Clears throat. “I’m afraid I committed a sin within the order, sir. They put me out here now.” Johanne: Nods. “Happens to the best of us, kid.” Slaps a hand on Nixon’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, not much happens out here. It's as safe as it can be.” Clarissa comes in. She grabs a box from a nearby trailer and puts it within a pile of boxes in the clearing. She scoffed, having eavesdropped, but continued to look down in her box (A medic kit.) Johanne turns around to look at her. Johanne: “Do you have something to say, medic?” Clarissa: “No, sir.” Johanne walks over to Clarissa and kicks her box over, emptying it into the ground. Johanne: “I asked if you had something to say!” Clarissa stood up, a good head shorter than Johanne, but no less serious. Clarissa: “You’re right. I did have something to say” Steps closer “You sit here acting like this job means nothing, like you are doing nothing. But we may not even come out of this alive. Do I need to remind you how General Kang and his troops died? On a no-need mission just like this one. The Trivia killer shows no mercy.” Johanne scoffs, now being the one to step closer to Clarissa. Still, she didn’t back away, even though they were almost chest to chest. Johanne: “Listen, girl. You’re nothing, just a simple little medic who couldn’t get a job in a place that mattered. I, on the other hand, am a captain in the demon-hunter ranks. I have fought against the Trivia killer and I came out alive. That demon’s reputation is much stronger than he is.” Clarissa: “People have reputations for a reason, you know. He couldn’t have killed General Kang and the Silver Brotherhood without being strong. I doubt someone like you would even have the chance to strike him, much less beat him” Johanne: “I think you would be surprised just how strong-” Johanne gets cut-off midsentence. A dark arrow, through his neck. He falls to his knees, and Clarissa scurries away, covering her mouth as not to scream. She watches as Johanne died in front of her, frozen in shock. The men run around the clearing, picking up their swords and facing them out into the forest, waiting for the thing to come out. A man walked out of the forest. Clarissa snapped out of her shock when she heard him speak. She crawled to hide behind a barrel, covering her mouth as tears slid down her cheeks. Daki: “I almost didn’t believe it, but I guess its true. The king sent you out here just to kill Bjorn Bardsmen? Thing is, I would have agreed with you a couple of years ago. However, I’m on Bjorn’s side now.” Chuckles, “Sorry, I just can’t let any of you live.” Daki gets ready to fight, sizing up all of the demon hunters. He pauses when his eyes land on one of the guards, David. He recognizes him. David: “Daki? Is that you? Aren’t you supposed to be dead?” Daki: “Not anymore, you can think Bardsmen for that.” David runs forwards, and immediately pulls out his sword. He slams it into the ground and yells at the top of his lungs. David: Smokescreen Surface Slash! A giant mist blows out from the swords tip, and this allows for David to tear his sword out and leap through the mist. He aims his blade directly towards Daki, but Daki catches him and slams his body into the ground. David is dead. Daki then finishes all the other Demon Hunters off, due to their reckless attacks. Daki: “I was having fun, too bad you couldn’t keep up.” Daki flew away, leaving a clearing full of bodies in his wake.
Scene 2: He landed a few miles away, still in the forest. A woman came out from behind a tree. Sophia had her arms crossed across her chest and a smirk on her face. Sophia: “Did you finally get rid of the intruders?” Daki: “Yep, they tasted great too.” Sohpia: Snarls “You make me sick. We may be allies, but do you really have to keep doing that disgusting cannabilism stuff?” Daki: “Yes, actually. I do.” Daki licks the blood from his fists. Sophia covers her mouth trying not to vomit. Sophia: “Whatever, just stop licking it in front of me.” Daki rolls his eyes, but stops. Sophia: “Thank you” Clears throat. “Now, Master has ordered us to head to Helios. There are some pirates we have to get rid of. They’re causing too much trouble for his new society to be built.” Daki licks his lips, a grin spreading across his face. Daki: “This will be fun.” Sohpia: “You might not think that once you find out you can’t eat them.” Daki snarles, whipping his head to look at Sophia. She only shrugged. He knew there was no fighting. Daki: “Fine, no eating them.” They boost off into the sky, headed towards Helios.
