Goldie rant :thumbs up: Enjoy some pictures of Basil! Most of them are blurry since beeb is an ever-moving creature. They are (more or less) in order from most recent to oldest, so the last few are her on her first day home! (Jumpscare warning, there is a really crusty picture of Basil with the flash on, you have been warned) Rest in peace to a glorious little sleeve demon, who will forever live on inside me (no really, she possesses me each night that I eat passed 8pm) we got rats for the first time (thanks to tres wooo) in early February of 2023, and it’s been one of the best experiences of my life honestly, I love rats more than any other pet I have ever owned, and I hope to continue owning them for the rest of my life (if you have rats you may understand /J) Of the five rats I owned, Basil was definitely my favorite. I loved all my rats so much, but basil was special, to say the least. She was my baby :( She was adored by all who met her, she was often described as “well handled” and “the nicest rat” by vets and people who held her, which I think are very good phrases to describe beeb. She was very trusting of humans, but she loved me and Willow the most, seeking us out when she was scared, or when she wanted a safe place to eat her favorite treat. She had a very peaceful death being held by me and Willow (which was the only place she wanted to be). In the days leading up to her passing, she only wanted to be outside her cage exploring and taking long naps in our sweatshirts. She was refusing to go back inside her cage, and would crawl out to us whenever she could. She stayed energetic and happy her entire life, even till the very end, I love you beeb :( She passed October 30th of 2024, at almost two years old Shes such a scraggle
