Yeah, you read the title correctly. I'll give a quick rundown on what I'm talking about and what to expect from the future of Clash of Animators: Clash of Animators was a platform fighting game released as a demo in 2023. This demo was supposed to receive updates later down the line, but the massive and unorganized code prevented this. However, there were several attempts at updating the game (and even a cancelled sequel) made by me. These all remained unfinished and were eventually abandoned. So why am I bringing this up? Well, I started working on a major update to the game, adding all the stuff I failed to add before. It's pretty early on in development, but the major list of planned features is: -A character select screen (previously made by @EatNYeet) -Loading screen for better performance (also made by @EatNYeet) -New stages -Brand new physics system (with hitboxes) -New menus So far this update's been a one person project, but I am open to development help for stuff like physics improvements, art, and stages. If you're at all interested comment down below (you'll receive an invite to the studio). As of today, 'Clash of Animators - V1.0' has been rebranded to 'Clash of Animators - DEMO', as the update will be a new project. The demo has also received a small performance patch which deleted 499 unnecessary blocks. Check it out HERE: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/789624426/ — IMPORTANT NOTES: New playable characters at launch are very unlikely, and will probably be a community effort (sign ups) if I do decide to add more. However, you will be able to choose whether you wanna play as the existing characters, Spooky and Samurai. This also means 2 players can now play as the same character. Story Mode will be largely untouched, and will only receive changes naturally brought over like new physics. It was a good concept but was ultimately too ambitious for a game like this. — And one final thing regarding my other game, Operation Discharge. The development update has been delayed to focus on COA, but I have improved the game quite a bit. What I will say is I plan to release it as a demo once I finish making a level.
