Long before the Shadow Era the Star Kingdom was once formally known as "The Land of Asteria [EQ Lore Post #1]". At the time, Asteria was ruled over by King Aragon and Queen Elegantria. The two royals gave birth to two airs: Princess Spectria and Prince Justin. It was a peaceful time when there was no darkness in the land, until an eevee sorcerer came across a Gem that would shift the history of the Star Kingdom (not in the ways you would expect)! During the wizard's secretive study and rise to power, a poor urchin boy by the name of Max wondered the streets of Castle Town in search for money to feed himself for his parents passed away at a young age. One day when Max was sitting outside of the castle gates, a young Prince Justin finds him and gives him a large sum of money. The Prince introduces himself to Max shortly before his parents whisk him away to dinner with the illustrious Sinclair Family. The following day, Max and the Prince meet up outside the castle again to spark a friendship between urchin and royal that would last many years. The peace would not last however, for darkness was restless in the kingdom. The now corrupted wizard Ragonthorn had mastered the power to wield the Gem. Ragonthorn and an army of corrupted pokemon raided the capital city in the night and k!lled everyone in sight, when the army finally broke through the castle's defences the royals and Max were all gathered in the throne room. A corrupted dagger was thrown at Queen Elegantria and hit her in the chest as she jumped out of the window with a crying Princess Spectria in her arms. The king had a long fought duel with the wizard and was able to knock the Gem out of the wizard's staff with his ancient sword before meeting his demise to a corrupted zoroark. Max picked up the Gem as malice surged through his body from within the Gem and the wizard. Maliceon was born and he was out of control! Ragonthorn was doomed to be strangled by the ribbon like tendrils that were now sprouting out from Maliceon's body and in the chaos that followed, the remainder of the city was destroyed along with Prince Justin. When Maliceon finally managed to regain some control over his newfound power he weeped the death of his best friend until the Gem eventually influenced him to become the new ruler of the Kingdom. Meanwhile the injured queen and the princess had fled into the woods and Elegantria passed on her power to Spectria in the form of a crystal star in the colours of the rainbow. The queen passed away and Spectria roamed the lands out of sight from Maliceon and his corruptions until she eventually grew old enough to be able to use the move "Stellar Reckoning" using the power of the Rainbow Star to banish the darkness from the land.
