Ok, so, um, sorry this took so long q-q I had no time to do the DTIYS like I promised- for 300, I’m going to try and do a Q&A as well as the DTIYS. Anyways life is going pretty well rn for me So Yey //keep scrolling till you can’t\\ Keep in mind that you probably won’t finish making art like this for a few days unless you have a /lot/ of free time. This actually took me 3 days to make help- Step 1: pose, one of my fave bits ^^ Step 2: turn pose to red, lower opacity Step 3: sketch! I don’t particularly enjoy this part lol. The bit in the corner where it says “Alto, he/him” is because it’s actually my first time drawing this character so I was working it out 4 myself ^^ Step 4: lineart w/ sketch visible. I use a self-made pixel brush for this! Step 5: lineart w/o sketch visible Step 6: fix lineart, mostly hard shadows/clothing Step 7: duplicate lineart layer, make it white everywhere inside it. Step 7.5: you don’t actually need all these layers, you only need one. Also, you should turn the lineart layer to “reference” (I forgot to take a screenshot when it was like that) Step 8: colour fill the base colour onto the white silhouette. Step 9: spraypaint the fur markings on! Step 10: due to the fact that the lineart layer is on “reference”, you can colour fill the lineart even when on a separate layer. Think how colour filling works on kleki! Anyways, make a new layer for each colour (apart from the eyes, the eyes are on one layer) Step 11: merge all the colour layers into each other Step 12: shading, I use a few different multiply layers and use a dark version of the hue I am shading onto. Step 13: highlights, I use a few different add layers snd use the colour I am shading onto. Step 14: idk what to call this step, I use a colour burn layer and a 6b pencil brush on roughly 30-35% opacity. I then get a saturated version of each colour I’m doing this to. Use one layer. Step 15: airbrush a red circle around the face, and line the circle with blue. Gaussian blur. Step 16: lower opacity of last step, use a glowpen brush and add a few details Step 17: basic background (this’ll look better soon I promise) + shadow behind character Step 18: lighting- fill a diagonal half of the canvas with yellow, and the other with purple. Blur it with the procreate “acrylic” brush. Step 19: lower opacity Step 20: duplicate it 3 times, so you have 4 lighting layers. Set one to add, one to multiply, and one to colour burn. Keep the bottom one as normal. Play around w/ opacity till it looks right. Step 21: glowpen details. I personally have a glowpen star brush that I made, but you can just draw bits in if you like. Step 22: finished product. Remember to always add a watermark! Shameless plug! My 100+ dta only has 1 entry haha, I’d appreciate it if you could enter q-q https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1061776944 -Moth out
