Maverick: A mortal man trapped in a metal body, created to be a mindslave to this scientific megacorporation. Torn away from his life after a fatal crash, his brain and a few other organs were repurposed to act as the source of power behind an avatar for the company’s newest creation: HYPER, a technologically generated dimension to house the new generation of humanity. Maverick was programmed to be a peacekeeper and the tool for the scientists and corporate scum to view the inner workings of their newest project. Prior to his later “demise”, Maverick’s vessel was to be portrayed to the people sent in as testers as a God-like figure. This did not have the intended effect due to another entity claiming that right in their minds. Using his body, the overseers wrought a purging system across HYPER to clear all lifeforms and in the end, Maverick was taken offline by the deity who ruled HYPER. After gaining a new form of consciousness, Maverick takes on several forms: a Virtual Avatar, a physical form in HYPER, and a real-world counterpart synced up with his VA. His newest physical form takes the appearance of a humanoid, made of jagged metal and wire with a flat screen for a head. The screen is cracked and glitchy, displaying three pairs of eyes. He is a simple character, only wishing to rebuild himself and reconnect with his old life (which has long been erased). He feels it necessary to try and influence everything he can, to gain something to replace his nothing, but his actions are futile when his old foe still lurks. He has no magical powers, but his robotic form and influence allow him to achieve superhuman feats and access technology with minimal effort.
