Adjust initial velocity & acceleration. Flag for parabolic curve, Y distance as time squared (t²). Ball hits cymbals in equal time gaps for vertical distances from top, which varies with t², as 1, 4, 9, 16 distance units.
Variant on my Galileo's Gravity Bells. Ball thrown up with velocity 10. Slows by a to 0, falls, ends with v = -10. Makes a parabola over time, with Y distance = time squared (same as ball shot vertically with velocity 10 AND a steady horizontal velocity). Distances predicted as v²/2a, for free falling object. Top line put at the point of max predicted Y distance. Note changing acceleration is like changing planets. Each planet has a fixed acceleration with it's gravity. Earth has acceleration 9.8 m / sec²
