Chapter one: a cave of chaos I held my breath as the canyon shook again. A big wave of lava washed away the rocks. “A dragon,” I whispered. I’ve seen signs of dragons before but this one I actually caught. The whole classroom stared out the window, waiting for the eminent beast. Again, the ground shook. “It has to come this time!” I moaned. I started to lose hope, until a claw emerged from the nearby cave. My classmates gasped with horror, but I, I was just amazed at the sight. So many years, i’ve admired the spices, and to see one in person, it’s fantasy at it’s best. I stood up out of my seat, and pressed my face against the window. The dragon’s eyes were as golden as the sun, claws as sharp as a spear, a roar as large as a mountain, and most importantly, scales as red as fire. “A fire dragon,” I softly said under my breath. I could imagine it roasting entire forests. A very epic type of dragon. It stepped out of its dark cavern and let out a fiery roar. With flames coming out of its mouth, it’s horns glowed deep red. All the other children scattered, but I stayed to View the outstanding creature. This was the perfect opportunity, I pulled out my notepad and started sketching the dragon. “Stop, moving!” I whispered. Half way through my drawing, the dragon took off. It’s wingspan was huge. It glided out of sight as it flew into a cloud. This was a small encounter, but an encounter I’d never forget.
A small chapter of my book!
