Thanks for the original project! @nembence has a lot of interesting projects! The resolution of the map is very high, 4096 x 2048 pixels. One pixel ≈ 5.5 km ≈ 3.4 miles only! This requires 8.39 million pixels, but the Scratch limitation is annoyingly low: limitation of the project json file size is only 5 million bytes. Fortunately the 8.39 million pixels could be compressed to 1.73 million bytes using a simple repetition counter algorithm. But extracting the compressed data takes around 15 seconds, sorry. The next resolution is 8192 x 4096 pixels ≈ 33.6 million pixels, one pixel ≈ 2.7 km ≈ 1.7 miles only, the globe is very detailed and looks great, and it can be compressed to 4.6 million bytes, it fits in Scratch, but extracting the compressed data takes more than one minute! #earth #3d #find #scratch #cat #games #all #earth #3d #find #scratch #cat #games #all
