I sewed my Halloween costume this year! It is the Artful Dodger from Oliver Twist, but I based the costume off the one from the 1968 movie. Patterns I used: https://www.moodfabrics.com/blog/the-lydia-loungewear-set-free-sewing-pattern/ (shirt) https://www.moodfabrics.com/blog/the-hazel-coat-free-sewing-pattern/ (coat, HEAVILY edited) The shirt/pants pattern is very good and beginner friendly. My only problems were that the shirt collar was too small, which was easily fixed, and that the pants were too long, also easily fixed. However, I didn’t like the jacket pattern very much. For some reason it was super wide? I trimmed it down a lot and it was still wide. Maybe I did something wrong, I dunno. I also cut over half the front off to make the coat look like the one in the movie, and a tapered tail. Materials: Blue felt Plaid flannel Grey herringbone fabric? Dunno White felt Cereal box cardboard (hat brim) Buckram (actual hat) Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue (hat) Buttons If you’re going to make a big project like this you will need a sewing machine or you will die :))) (kidding, but it would be very time-consuming and your clothes would come apart a lot easier)
