"Apple was a loner. She lived a solitary life on her own, hunting prey and she even had a den in a small cave. But one day... one day when Starlingpaw at the time and her mentor Salmonheart were patroling, we caught the loner in our territory. We went to warn Apple, but she got scared and accidentally ran straight into a cave, and a rock fell on her head. We brought her back to camp while she was unconscious. The medicine cat at the time Fawntoe and her apprentice Brightpaw took care of her, and when she woke up, she didn't remember who she was. Starlingpaw befriended her and helped her choose a new name, Apple. Apple became an apprentice late at 7 moons because of her head damage. Her mentor was Caverntail, a strict mentor, to say the least. Applepaw trained as hard as she could, catching the most prey, and besting her rival Wavepaw. Then came the attack. Emberclan raided Darkclan territory. Luckily our ally Lightningclan came to aid us in the battle. But we still had some losses. Caverntail, Wavepaw, Fawntoe, and Mousesong all were struck down in the battle. After the battle, Applepaw still had 2 moons left in training, so Novafleck became their mentor. Applepaw had come out as non-binary, and their former mentor Caverntail did not support it. Novafleck herself was a demigirl, and became a big influence in young Applepaw's life. Around the time when Applepaw was 11 moons, she had recently came out as a demigirl like her mentor Novafleck. Applepaw had also developed a big crush on Starlingpool, who had recently became a warrior. When Applepaw was promoted to a warrior as Appleheart, she began making plans for the clan, more protection there, a bigger den here, all of that. The current leader at the time, Foxstar saw Appleheart's improvement and goals. So he gave her one of Novafleck and his's new kits as an apprentice. Goosepaw was a tough apprentice. He was grumpy and wasn't especially good at hunting nor fighting. But Appleheart shaped him up in no time. Then eventually Appleheart confessed to Starlingpool and they became mates. Deertail, who had a crush on Starlingpool was sour at first, but warmed up soon enough. Once Goosepaw became Goosechirp, Appleheart was given another apprentice almost at once. Robinpaw was quiet but a prodigy. They were saved from an eagle when they were found on a border patrol. But only 4 moons into training, Robinpaw was found dead on the Thunderpath. Appleheart griefed for nearly 3 moons. But then the deputy Fallenclaw retired and Appleheart was promoted as the new deputy. One day at night, Starlingpool told Appleheart that she found a kittypet named Chocolate Chip Roach who was willing to have kits for them. Appleheart was ecstatic as she announced to the clan that Starlingpool was expecting kits. Things were chill, but during an especially hard leaf-bare, Starlingpool caught greencough. When she had her kits, she almost died. 2 of the kits were born stillborn, due to Starlingpool being sick at the time. 1 of the 3 kits still lived long enough for them to name him Fleckkit after Novafleck before he died of kittencough. The 2 mates were heartbroken, but Appleheart had to be strong because during a battle with foxes, Foxstar lost his ninth and final life. The only medicine cat, Brightpoppy and Appleheart went to the Moon Tree to get her nine lives. She came back as Applestar and named Goosechirp as the deputy, him having mentored an apprentice. And Starlingpool was happy to say that her mother Marshfeather had 2 she-cats for her third litter, Cloudkit and Wolfkit. Applestar mentored Cloudpaw while Wolfpaw's mentor was Deertail. When Cloudpaw became a warrior, he announced that he was a trans male. Applestar was supportive of him and gave him and his sister their names as Cloudstorm and Wolfcall. Once Cloudstorm got an apprentice, he was made deputy because Goosechirp stepped down because he wanted to be closer to his new kits. Soon after, Starlingpool told Applestar that Deertail and she are having kits together for her and Applestar since they couldn't have them together. And that kit is you." Starlingpool looks at you with affection in her gaze and grooms your head as you sleep. ~5 and a half moons later~ "///////kit!" shouts a loud voice. You open your eyes to Seedkit's dilute torbie face. "Wake up, silly goose! Tomorrow we become apprentices!" Her voice echoes across the nursery in a loud voice. "Hush, Seedkit. You'll wake up Goosechirp. He's taking care of his and Cloudstorm's newborn kits." scolds Petalstorm to Seedkit. "awwww..." whispers Seedkit as soft as she can, which still isn't very soft. She turns to you and smiles. "Who do you want as a mentor?" she asks. (cont. in notes)
(cont. from instructions) You shrug. Seedkit puffs out her chest. "I'M going to get APPLESTAR as MY mentor." Tawnykit laughs, and you just realize that he was standing there the whole time. "There's no way that Applestar will mentor you, fuzzball." Xey chuckle while Seedkit sticks her tongue out at him. Tawnkit turns to you, and you stifle a mroow of amusment as you see Seedkit make funny faces behind Tawnykit. "I'm hoping to get Brightpoppy as a mentor. I want to be a medicine cat." He tells you, a shining gleam in xer eye. You nod, happy that both of them know their place. Suddenly, a black pelt comes toward you. "Applestar has 2 future mentors for you. Come meet them!" says Starlingpool. You wave bye to Tawnykit and follow your mother. "Meet Wolfcall and Sootspot.
