scratch is a riot and I think I'm just gonna release the first phase of the papyrus fight then be done making the boss fights I've always been an ideas man, way too ambitious with not enough time to fulfill all my ambitions undercolors is one of those things I really do want to see it as a completed fangame, if not a collection of boss fights and maybe an animation or two But it's far from the only thing I want to do I got way too much on my plate to work on the papyrus fangame, and I don't think I'll even finish it I'm out of my depth here But that doesn't mean I'm giving up on undercolors completely While I would love to see it as a game, it was really about the story. The idea started as a self insert au, but grew into something completely different. I'm going to write down everything I've thought up for this game. The characters, attacks and powers, lore and background, and the basic story beats of this AU. Then I'm going to go to as many people in the undertale community as I can and find someone else to take this project from me and help it become what I envisioned it to be. Whether it becomes a comic, a fangame, or just a collection of songs on soundcloud, I want this AU to become a real, tangible story. For those not aware, the basic idea behind this au is that earlier in the timeline, the containment vessel was never created for human souls, and so there was no way to preserve them. as such, each of the human souls ended up being absorbed by a different boss in undertale. The character's lives have been altered drastically because of this. In addition, it's another genocide au, with chara being the narrator and frisk's "partner." but with this new timeline, things begin to change, and chara starts to come back from the void of complete apathy. I'll write the story as if it were a game, giving basic summaries of the story beats and the interactions the fights can have. I'll write it to have 3 endings, depending on what the player chooses. You'll have to read it when it's done; I'll update this project to have the document and release a new project with the document as well. Not sure if scratch will allow me to share a google document here, so I might have to use a workaround or just copy and paste everything into a project. Thank you so much to everyone who's helped me so far. @Canofair for being the very first person to really join the team and help me, @kyubsters16 and @Dajanatashua12 for volunteering so willingly and giving me much needed help. I'm glad you guys were willing to do this with me. if you want to take the storyboard and make this a reality, then that would be awesome. Whoever ends up taking on this project, I would like to be involved to some extent, providing insights on what I want this story to be or helping work out some kinks in the story. I don't know enough about spritework or coding to really help with either, but I'm still learning. There's a lot of people who have helped me on this journey who I can't even remember. I was never the best at remembering things. Thank you to @s00tf00t for providing the game engine. if someone wants to draw art for all the characters to put in the doc, that would be awesome. here's a list of all the appearance changes for the characters. -toriel's robe has lotus flowers sewn into them. her robe is a brighter shade of purple. -papyrus has a shield given to him by undyne, and has orange tough gloves on his hand, as well as a bandana he often wears around his shoulder, forehead, arm, leg, wherever he feels like putting it. He still has his scarf, which is now orange red. -sans has a green jacket and a stained apron worn underneath. He still wears slippers. -mettaton's EX form is not unfinished or secret, and he frequently transforms from his "everyday" box-like appearance to his magnificent heroic form, with a classic superhero eyemask, a long flowing yellow cape, yellow boots and gloves, and a sleek black supersuit with a lightning bolt in the center. in undertale mettaton is a celebrity. In this timeline he takes on the role of a celebrity superhero. -asgore and undyne don't have any set designs yet, so I'd love to see some creative takes, especially as I'm still writing the storyboard. they are the least developed characters by far, but they still have some personality differences, and their designs should reflect that. I'll write them down in the document, and edit it if or when their characters become developed more. I hope that someone picks this up. but even if nobody wants to make this story a reality, I'll still be satisfied with at least having gotten this story out there.
