"I have never read such a heart-warming and tear-bringing book." I originally wanted a typewriter for my birthday. We were planning to get me one, but then something happened and so my Dad bought me a BOOK about a typewriter. No other book could've been as good as this book. It was a relatively short book, compared to other books I've read, but the story replaces that. Each individual character has their own unique personality- Ernest with a dictionary, Quinn with dumper diving- Ezra with working out, Adalyne with being a parentified child ( relates so much to me ), Arlo being bouncy and cute. I relate each character with a thing, which relates with a personality. Allie Millington really gave a typewriter a personality. Olivetti's feelings, wishes. They really brought the personality into Remi too. Yes, some things about this book did push it a little back, maybe perhaps the several restroom incidents and then jumping off a monument. Spoilers below!: Cancer hit so close to home with me. I lost my grandma to cancer when i was five. This part brought me to tears. Yes, I don't mind the jumping off a national monument. This story is about family. It tells you even if you are struggling with your family without them you'd be heart-broken. So many morals in just 200 pages. Six stars ( if i could ) for Allie Millington. And I rarely give five stars.
This book made me cry.
