Instead of flourishing in money, he decided to spend almost all of his on some glove relic. He enjoys phighting a lot, and tends to pick phights with random people he meets. Despite acting a little childish, he is competent when phighting, although a little too aggressive. He also has a knack for technology, though half the time he has no idea what he’s doing. He’s also physically fit because of his time as an athlete. ‼️ Relationships: He doesn’t know most phighters very well since he sees them as just more people to beat up, but he does know a few. Banhammer: got into trouble a lot, paid his way out Scythe: aware, doesn’t care, though she has tried to steal his gauntlet on multiple occasions Subspace: admires his work, especially with Biografts Coil: finds his criminal record amusing Hyperlaser: afraid of him Zuka: aware, but calls him an old retired man a lot Broker: calls him an old man as well Boombox: asks him to play music for him a lot Medkit: a little aggressive to, since he hates subspace Slingshot: likes his cafe, though he finds the outfits a little strange Vinestaff: they talk every now and then, since vinestaff is like the only person who can deal with him Dom and Valk: he finds their interactions hilarious, though he rarely shows it ‼️ Dialogue (a lot): BG: “I WAS INFORMED NOT TO SPEAK TO YOU.” SP: “Well, that’s a bummer… but you just did! Maybe a little chat wouldn’t hurt?” BG: “I AM NOT SPEAKING TO YOU.” SP: “Dang it.” SP: “I heard you enjoyed plants, Vinestaff.” VS: “I in fact do.” SP: “I never saw the appeal.” VS: “Then pick up gardening. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.” S: “Aren’t you that pompous engineer?” SP: “Why I never! Pompous?!” S: “Huh. Seems about right.” SP: “I always considered taking up explosives.” R: “Why didn’t you?” SP: “Let’s just say that gliders don’t go well with bombs.” SP: “So, uh, who are you again?” K: “Katana.” SP: “I swear I’ve heard that name before…” K: “It’s probably best if you don’t recall where from.” SK: “You’re so slow, haha!” SP: “I think I’m plenty fast!” SK: “I can literally see your eyes blinking in slow motion.” SP: “I- I’m not used to blinking fast. That’s all.” SK: “Pff, okay.” SP: “After this, I think I’ll play some chess.” SB: “I think I’ll pass, gotta get some tricks in!” SP: “And I think that’s probably for the best.” SP: “Hey Boombox, care to play some music for me?” BB: “Not today, sorry!” SP: “How’d you build those Biografts?” SS: “It’s a secret, sorry not sorry!!” SP: “…I’ll figure it out eventually.” BH: “So it’s you.” SP: “What’s up, warden?” BH: “That was the first and last bribe. Don’t act like we’re all friendly.” SP: “Oh, whatever!” SS: “Imagine if I was on the other team, Steams!” SP: “I would really hate that, for one.” SS: “But you’d still come to the cafe, huh?” SP: “You here to cause some trouble?” C: “Yeah, why?” SP: “I think we’ll be a great team, then.” SC: “Nice lookin’ gauntlet ya got there, ‘punk.” SP: “It’s my prized possession!” SC: “Not for long~” HL: “…” SP: “…” HL: “…of course I’m stuck with the coward…” MK: “Oh. It’s you.” SP: “Why does everyone use that condescending tone??” MK: “No reason. You do it yourself, that’s all.” BASIC EX: “Time to let off some steam, eh?” KILL EX: “Haha! I told you this was worth the money!” DEATH EX: “…okay, let’s try that again.” ASSIST EX: “Oi! That was mine, bozo!” VICTORY EX: “In your face! Losers!!!” DEFEAT EX: “I- I’ll do better next time, right?!” CROSSROADS EX: “Doesn’t look anything like home.” BROKER?: “That old man is there everywhere I go. There’s a reason I don’t touch those telephones around town.” ‼️ Trivia: - Steampunk was a boxer at first, but since the Lost Temple didn’t really support it, he dropped the sport. - Steampunk’s horns are supposed to resemble the Fibonacci Spiral. He doesn’t trim them, they just grow like that. - He was originally supposed to have a cardboard hat. For no reason, really. - His eye is not entirely black for a reason. - He was going to have the explosive glider gear as his E ability, but I decided against it. - The things wrapped around his chest are brass pipes. He calls them “armor plates”. - His moveset is mostly based off another Phighter I thought up of before, called “Brass Knuckles”. - I came up with this guy within a day. He’s not supposed to be well thought out, so just keep that in mind. - Steampunk has stolen some Blackrock tech, but thought it was too primitive for his taste. - yes i am aware there were teasers for another steampunk
Credits: Art - me yay Code - me yay Character - me yay Music - Grain of Pain: THEGRAMS31 and KEY AFTER KEY (not me no) ⚠️ This is just game stuff I came up with. You can read this if you want to, but it’s long and optional. ⚠️ ⏱️ STATS ⏱️ Shield: 140 Health: 80 Total HP: 220 Average Movespeed, High Damage, Low Attack Speed, Average Mobility ⏱️ ABILITIES ⏱️ PASSIVE: When Steampunk deals damage or takes damage, a meter (AKA Steammeter) will rise from the pressure of Steampunk’s glove. It caps off at 100%. It affects moves, adding damage and cooler animations, but deals damage to Steampunk over time. [starts at 1 damage/sec, increases by one damage per second on intervals of 25%, maxes at 5 damage/sec] [buff adds 10% for every 25% increase on the meter, capping off at 150% damage] M1: Steampunk throws a punch with his glove, dealing high damage and causing high knockback. [cooldown: 2 sec] [damage: 30 / fully charged: 60] M2: Steampunk’s watch activates, bringing in nearby enemies. If an enemy is fully pulled in, it will reset the cooldown for both M1 and M2 up to 3 times. [cooldown: 3 sec] [damage: 5 / fully charged: 10] Q: Steampunk will charge in the direction of the crosshair with his glove. If someone is caught in the move, they will follow along unless they damage Steampunk enough to escape. Varies as Steammeter increases (extra hits, uppercuts, sideswipes, etc.) Has incredible knockback. If pressed again during attack, you will brake, releasing remaining steam. [cooldown: 8 sec] [damage: 20 - 35 - 50 - 75] E: Steampunk’s shield will turn gold for a split second. Getting hurt in this state with add extra steam to the Steammeter and he will counter by swinging his glove and sending the attacker flying. Melee attacks only. [cooldown: 6] [damage: 25] PHINISHER: Steampunk will hit a large button on his glove, summoning a yellow field in the shape of a clock around him, and for a period of time, opponents within with slow down considerably. He can’t move until it ends, or if F is clicked again. When that happens, every enemy in the field is pulled to Steampunk, dealing AOE damage to both the enemies and Steampunk. [duration: 2 - 4 - 6 - 8 sec] [damage if initiated again: 80] ⏱️ PLAYSTYLES ⏱️ Steampunk can be used as a tank or a single zone control character. M1 followed up with an M2 will deal massive damage if used all three times, but only if you use M2 right after (since it’s short range). M1 fully charged deals a lot of damage, but it sends Phighters long distances away at high speeds. It would probably be good for Point Control or smthn If you charge into a cluster or the center, M2 could potentially bring someone close to you. The point of Steampunk doing this is to wipe out or knock away Phighters one by one. You can also just use Q to deal a lot of damage as well. Steampunk can also tank damage, due to his health pool. His E ability is useful for when people get too close. The Steammeter is similar to Biograft’s, only that it charges slower and has a different function. For example, at 75% or above, Steampunk can’t use M1. This is so that it doesn’t give him too much of an advantage in damage. So, health management and bar management is important. Speaking of health, Steampunk is supposed to stay on the battlefield for as long as possible. He’s a hard hitter, but his meter will take away this advantage. Also, the meter empties after he’s killed. To deal lots of damage, it’s probably best not to die. His Phinisher is like a support move. Phighters in range get their speed dropped by 50%, so it’s pretty powerful. The disadvantage is the time limit, Steammeter, and the fact that they can escape really easily. His attack speed is definitely really slow, but his mobility isn’t garbage. This is so he can move around the field without being mauled to death. When it comes to Team Deathmatch rounds, it’s probably best if he’s near a healer, because if you’re smart, you’d probably want to stay away from Steampunk. Unless he gets to you first. Steampunk would be especially annoying to Biografts. Melee fighters in general will probably find him annoying, especially ones with low health. Even Banhammer mains would probably hate his guts. Probably best if this type of character wasn’t ever added
