Idk why I keep making Sprout a villain, but here's some lore Dandy came back to astro's room just to see it all burnt down, a singular pom pom from Astro's nightcap. Rodger was coincidentally right next to the scene, so Dandy immediately assumed he did it, and chased Rodger down with an axe. (Andy's Apple farm fans know what happens).. Shelly and Toodles, who survived the fire, watched Dandy tear him apart. Shelly, horrified, ran back into the woods, while toodles stood and watched, unable to move from shock.
