20 Questions for Writers! (To Make You Think Hard) 1. Q: What got you interested in writing? A: maybe writing stuff for assignments? 2. Q: Did you always like writing? A: I think so, yeah! :D 3: Q: What is the story that has just been sitting around in your brain, waiting to come to life? Is it just a vague idea that catches your heart, or is it already an elaborate story? A: i mean, i have characters for it, but don't really know about a storyline. 4. Q: What makes a story catch your heart? A: being wholesome, good writing 5. Q: Do you think that there's a pattern that all good stories follow, or are they all different? A: they're all different, but they should have good plots and grammar 6. Q: Did you ever cry over your own writing? Laugh over it? Shiver over it? A: i've laughed over part of a fanfic i wrote but tbh it's kinda embarrassing and id rather not put what it was here :skull: (it's sfw i promise) 7. Q: What do you despise in stories? A: uhhhh good question... idk- 8. Q: What makes a story bad (in your opinion)? A: having a bad plotline 9. Q: Which is more important in a story: emotional depth, or an interesting plot? A: emotional depth maybe? 10. Q: Is there a specific thing your stories tend to center around? (Ex: setting, personality of character, genre, ect.) A: i do have 2 instances of a sunshine character and grumpy character being friends, also a lot of my characters are on the aromantic or as3xual or both spectrums 11. Q: Do you plan to become an author someday? A: no but i'd still like to keep writing! 12. Q: If so, how do you think authors can influence the world for good by their writing? A: writing compelling works to make a difference 13. Q: What are your favorite themes (morals or messages) in stories? A: idk if this is in a story I've read or not but that you can be a good person even if you've had a bad past 14. Q: What are the cliches you hate the most? A: that aros/aces can't feel any emotion (they can) 15. Q: Is there a way to make those cliches not so bad? Do you think you could do it if you set out to try? A: read the book "Loveless" by Alice Oseman, she does a good job of showing that aros and aces can still feel things, especially platonic love for friends! 16. Q: What is the genre you hate the most? A: do math textbooks count 17. Q: What if you tried to write it? What would happen? A: uhhh I wouldn't but it would probably be bad :skull: 18. Q: What makes a character lovable? A: quirks and traits that set them apart (but don't make them annoying), a sense of humor 19. Q: Is it possible for a non-lovable character to make you care deeply about them? A: yes, if you learn more about them and why they're that way, also if they d1e a sad way 20. Q: How can you make your story touch your reader and impact their life? A: know your audience and what they like, what will touch them the most.
