The Story: The player spawns as a kit in their desired color. The player's mother, Faunaflower, names them and tells them they can explore around the place. The player has to do three kit tasks-one from Ashfall, one from Lavendershine, and one from Mesapaw-to become an apprentice. After becoming an appretience, the player trains with Scraptooth and Redwoodpaw. When the player goes to highrock, however, they discover that Ashfall was mysteriously murdered. Sunstar asks them to try to figure out who killed her in exchange for their warriorship. The player then goes to Bushstep's den, where he gives them three helpful items. A panning tool, for sifting out scraps from the river, a colorless bentonite, for magnifying things, and a map of beyond Californiaclan territory. The player uses the bentonite on ashfall's dead body and finds ginger fur. Sunstar says they need more information, though, so they go to Death Valley, but not before Sunstar makes Mesapaw, Flamepaw, and Burnpaw warriors. At Death Valley, the player meets Snake- the guardian of the desert. After combating a few snakes around, the player can fight Snake and earn her trust. She tells them she saw a murderer and that it was a she-cat. The player then goes to the Beach. They fight off a few California Scorpionfish before meeting Mystic, guardian of the Beach. After defeating Mystic, their mask cracks open and reveals their missing eye. They're angry, but tell the player they saw two cats lurking around. One was an adult, and one was around the player's age. The player goes to the "Forest" next. They fight a few American black bears to strengthen up their health and defense. Thunder, guardian and protector of the forest, battles them then. If the player manages to defeat him, he will tell them he saw two cats, and the smaller one was a dark brown tabby. After reporting the information to Sunstar, he figures out the culprit is his faithful deputy, Sandstripe. He calls a clan meeting and makes the player, Rosepaw, Redwoodpaw, Lizardpaw, Rockypaw, Pebblepaw, and Limestonepaw warriors. Then he banishes Sandstripe, who is furious someone figured out her doing. Limestoneshine follows her exile and tells the player they better get ready, for Sandstripe will get revenge. Suddenly, Sandstripe takes over Californiaclan and tells the player that she killed Sunstar and she is the true leader now. Community content is available under CC-BY-SA unless otherwise noted.
