Instructions

Click to swing. Move your mouse to the grey dot and swing in time. When you swing the bat determines where it goes! Post your score! You get 10 outs. Contact Swing: bigger area for getting the bat on the ball, not for hitting it far. Power Swing: for hitting home runs, but easier to miss the ball. TO POST A HIGH SCORE, YOU NEED TO BE A “SCRATCHER”!!!!!!!!

Description

(5/3): v3.0!!!!!! http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/21590791/ I probably will not update this game anymore. Focusing on the latest version ^^^^^ Also Cloud variables don't work on this one (4/16): v2.2: some bug fixes, better ball flight (not impacted by being on edge; can be theoretically above the screen when it's hidden) (4/10): v2.1: added a record category: Home Runs to At Bat length ratio. To set this record, you have to play until you get 10 outs, in order to make it impossible (almost) to get 1.000... (4/8): Fixed a bug where the velocity of the ball was too low and froze the game and made the pitcher disappear. (3/28): Tweaked scripts a little to use the old scratch player, which works for this project in full screen--it lags in full screen though :( Added correct record holders. My system appears to work only some of the time :( Overhauled base cloning system to prepare for upcoming update [ :) (8/13): Added At Bat Length to records. At bat length goes up every time you swing, but doesn’t count pitches you let go. (8/12): Changed the username storer using a script provided by @CrystalStar-. Thanks a bunch! If you are a “SCRATCHER,” please set a record ( :P ) to see if it works. I think it works!!!! (7/15): With Version 2.0, you will be recognized if you set a record, in the records section. Much credit to @A-scratcher and @BobSausage for the script ideas, as well as @CrystalStar- Changes in v1.5: (7/2): Added capability for record holders to be recognized, but since Scratch doesn't allow anything other than numbers, I won't use it. The is a workaround that I could think of, but it would be really long. (7/1): Icon at lower left of screen will tell you if a non-home-run ball is fair or foul before the play is over. (6/29): Batter's arms adjust to curser position. Fixed some other minor issues. Decreased sprite and script count slightly. (Thank You Cloning!!!!) Changes in v1.4: (6/25): Fixed foul balls problem, eliminated first hitting style (The other one works better). Recreated the hitter in vector. fixed some other programming issues. Ball may go anywhere in strike zone now swing speed no longer customizable (sorry, only worked for first hitting style) Changes in v1.3: (6/24): Added and tested some new setting features, which include foul balls and slicing/hooking (which may curve a ball foul that was at first fair) Changes in v1.2: (6/20): Batter moves with curser, making hitting inside and outside pitches easier (hopefully). Replaced hitting style 2 with new style. I set a record for 7 home runs Changes in v1.1 (6/17): Adding settings menu, swing speed customizable. Post ideas for other things that should be customizable! (besides difficulty, as then there would have to be many more record variables) (6/16): This game is a remix of the first version of Home Run Derby Baseball, and the cloud variables that were transferred over don't work properly and do not store new entries. So I had to delete the old ones and make new cloud variables. Sorry to anyone who had a record (nathanlamb). Sped up swing. (6/15): If you click on buttons, the batter won't swing. (6/14): Keyboard is not needed anymore! buttons are in game. Tinkered with field view, now ball doesn't slow down as much in midair. Fixed Hitting Style feature. Distance not measured with roll considered, making game go faster. Music! (from @shadowluigi2 's "Mario Super Sluggers Music- Yoshi Park" project, edited a little)
