Crumblecrush's thoughts before he asked Blazingthorn out :3 - - - Something was wrong with Crumblecrush. It started a few moons ago. Crumblecrush had been trying to meet new cats, but everyone he met had driven him crazy. Especially that apprentice, Trapperpaw. Was he Trapperfury now? Doesn't matter. The less thought spent on that rude cat the better. Point is, he had been having a hard time socializing, which is something that he normally likes. Deep in thought, he padded aimlessly along the sandy coastline, all the while wary of the water. Despite how frustrating cats could be, despite how hard it was to make friends among the... riffraff, Crumblecrush had gotten lucky with Blazingthorn. They might've started off on the wrong paw, sure. But at least she had the decency to apologize. To be fair, Cindersnare deserved some credit. In all honesty, she was probably the start of Crumblecrush's good streak and the only reason he had been open to Blazingthorn. He should thank her sometime. But Blazingthorn was different from Cindersnare. Not that Cindersnare was boring, but...Blazingthorn was clever, thoughtful, and friendly. ...And not bad to look at, either... aw, heck, this better not be what he thought it was. For all the great things about Blazingthorn, Crumblecrush had been getting... weird with her lately. It was like he had been forgetting how to talk. As a matter of fact, it was almost like being around her made it hard to breathe. Crumblecrush sighed. He stopped his pacing and settled down into the sand, careful to stay well away from the water. He suspected he knew what was going on with him, but he was reluctant to admit it. They hadn't really known each other for that long... But they had. They had first talked to each other when he was sixteen moons. Very nearly two seasons ago. Crumblecrush reflected that it felt like he hadn't changed much since then. Maybe it was finally time to admit the truth.
