While they were investigating one of the moons of mars, they spotted a fleet of alien bugs heading their way. They had just enough time to build a defence weapon called the HFPR cannon (hyper focused plasma ray) and get it up and running before the bugs started raiding the space station. for part 2 see: meteor maneuverer
