This is the official S.S.S. logo and the figure shown is not a cat doing karate in what looks like a Chinese square (LOL!) but is a cat doing detective work from the wrong angle. He is actually finding clues, but the angle is tilted and is towards the ground, thus the feet look like it is kicking something. The square doesn't have any meaning but to frame the cat.
