thank you @VintageBoots for the lovely questions!! <3 1. What got you interested in writing? ☆ good question!! i think it was always my love for reading. i know this is very main character of me but i'd always be the kid in school book clubs who'd read the book way ahead. i loved the way books made me feel. happy, sad, angry sometimes. i think i wanted to make people feel that as well. 2. Did you always like writing? ☆ actually, no. in school, i used to hate writing. i guess i never tried the type of writing i liked. 3. What is the story that has just been sitting around in your brain, waiting to come to life? Is it just a vague idea that catches your heart, or is it already an elaborate story? ☆ there's a story that i've been meaning to post but i just can't string the words together how i usually can. just a sneak peak, but it's about a boy who has dreams of a girl. 4. What makes a story catch your heart? ☆ i usually love romance, so usually the characters. i just love character dynamic and the certain changes a character has around another person. i also love dual pov, it's wonderful to see the different perspectives of the same story. and, internal thinking. seeing how a person is acting versus they way they think is very relaxing, to be honest. 5. Do you think that there's a pattern that all good stories follow, or are they all different? ☆ i believe good stories have details and an understandable plot but generally no, they're all different. 6. Q: Did you ever cry over your own writing? Laugh over it? Shiver over it? ☆ i don't think i've ever cried or laughed but sometimes i write something down and i'm like, "damn. that was good" A: 7. What do you despise in stories? ☆ boring characters. it makes my blood boil. or just boring plots. like something really generic. it's so annoying, like be creative omg. 8. What makes a story bad (in your opinion)? ☆ repetitive statements. bad grammar. annoying characters. 9. Q: Which is more important in a story: emotional depth, or an interesting plot? ☆ emotional depth, in my opinion. i've always been a person to care more about the internal thinking than the actual plot. 10. Q: Is there a specific thing your stories tend to center around? (Ex: setting, personality of character, genre, ect.) ☆ usually being the problem. in almost every story i read, the main character is the perfect angel. i don't like how it's like that. people aren't perfect and will never be perfect. i love to write antagonist main characters. i know from experience, it's extremely hard being the problem and knowing it. the weight of knowing you're in the wrong. i like to write about how that feels. 11. Do you plan to become an author someday? ☆ no, i have bigger dreams. writing is an amazing hobby and it brings me great joy but if i'm being honest, i can't see a future for myself in it. 12. Q: If so, how do you think authors can influence the world for good by their writing? ☆ tbh idk i'm not google bro. i'll come back later and answer if i feel like it 13. Q: What are your favorite themes (morals or messages) in stories? ☆ trust no one and no one can trust you 14. Q: What are the cliches you hate the most? ☆ omg the stupid innocent, new, and nerdy main character winning prom queen and like pulling the hottest boy like be so real. that is never happening in any universe, get your head out of the clouds. 15. Q: Is there a way to make those cliches not so bad? Do you think you could do it if you set out to try? ☆ you know, this is a good idea. i might attempt to make a story using this troupe !! <3 16. Q: What is the genre you hate the most? ☆ fantasy, i'm really sorry. it's too slow and boring for me and i don't like the idea of like wolves and magic. 17. Q: What if you tried to write it? What would happen? ☆ i would fall asleep before i finished the first sentence. bro i cannot read/write fantasy it's way too boring for me and long as hell. 18. Q: What makes a character lovable? ☆ humor and relatability 19. Q: Is it possible for a non-lovable character to make you care deeply about them? ☆ oh yeah, totally. it just really depends how they act. i like to project myself into my characters and i want to make my characters relatable, even if they are overall just horrible people. 20. Q: How can you make your story touch your reader and impact their life? ☆ probably changing their perspective on things. making them realize the world isn't always what you see. music ☆ mess it up - gracie abrams <3
