Born into a pirate family, Serena was trained under her mother, Valentina (A Pirate Lord). Her father Hawthorn was a blacksmith and left the family because he didn't like the pirate life style his wife loved. During the War of the Clans (a war between the pirate clans that took place during the Shadow Era), Serena's mother and father were k!lled and her eye was slashed. She now wears the rose that was placed on her mother's grave as an eyepatch to remind her of the world's cruel nature so she can stay vigilant as a pirate.
